hmmm cause green is the colour of envy and neo is jealous that morpheous gets all the chicks or may be thats why they wear glasses tha are blak so that green when seen through black will appar normal

Obviously you guys don't know what you are talking about. Here are TWO reasons why the matrix is green.
1. Trees are green.
2. It takes money to run something as big as the matrix.
